ANSWER 

I have worked in the OB department for most of my nursing career. In general, OB nurses are extremely compassionate people who choose this field with purpose. Although OB is a “happy” area of nursing most of the time, bad outcomes are devastating for both the family and nursing staff. To me, caring and compassion are a requirement to a successful nurse.
