What group have you selected? What made you select this particular group?

I have selected San Jacinto Troop #110117 girl scouts to take part in the implementation of the Care Plan. This group is made up of young and vibrant girls all of whom are in their youthful ages. Thus, this group meets the targeted age-group – teenagers; I plan to conduct a health care promotion on COVID-19 preventive measures to reduce and hopefully stop the spread of the virus. According to Hopkins et al. (2020), teenagers are more active socially compared to adults. This makes the girl scouts group a right choice for learning the new COVID- 19 preventive measures and share them with their friends and families, which improves effectiveness.

What interventions of the plan will you implement in the group?

The interventions that I will implement are demonstrating COVID-19 preventive measures (hand washing techniques, mask wearing and handling, and coughing into the elbow), I will recommend the use of portable hand sanitizers for regular use, and regular cleaning of surfaces at home and workspaces. These intervention measures are part of the health promotion program geared towards creation of awareness among young individuals. Other essential intervention measures will be based on knowledge deficit.
