Is it sensitive to measure what it has been developed to measure, for instance, HIV, or depression in older adults, or Lyme disease? Would you integrate this tool into your advanced practice based on the information you have read about the test, why or why not?

SOLUTION  

Screening for gestational diabetes aimed on early detection of diabetes Meletus during pregnancy. Early detection of diabetes will positively affect fetal and maternal health and will help to prevent preterm labor, maternal hypertensive disorders, and development of diabetes later in life (Davidson et al., 2021).

Two step approach for gestational diabetes was chosen as a screening tool. During the test pregnant woman between 24- and 28-weeks gestation, first, administered 50 grams of oral glucose solution.
