Many institutions across many sectors are experiencing incivility. However, different people in these departments are relentlessly fighting to curb such forms of unprofessionalism. Therefore, incivility in the nursing profession involves low-intensity behaviors through gestures or unkind words, which may cultivate a poor working relationship. Other behaviors include excess competition among healthcare providers and rudeness or exclusion of oneself socially (Armstrong, 2018).
