Purpose
The purpose of this discussion is for the DNP student to demonstrate an understanding of how stakeholders influence practice change. You will continually gain experience considering the organization, community, and national stakeholders and how they influence sustained practice change.
Instructions
- Identify and examine organization and/or community stakeholders you anticipate will be a part of the interprofessional team when implementing your future practice change project.
- Integrate your key stakeholders into the constructs from the translational science model that you identified in Week 6.
- Analyze the barriers you might experience with these stakeholders with the proposed practice change.

SOLUTION
The opioid crisis has devastated every aspect of Baltimore City and its surrounding areas forcing stakeholders to establish initiatives that require collaborative efforts. Heavy city stakeholders like the mayor of the city, Baltimore City Fire and Police Department, Baltimore City Health Department, and the mayor’s office of criminal justice have agreeably recognized the drastic need for action to combat this opioid crisis.
